Familiy portrait

The heart of our winery

From planting young vines to vineyard maintenance, harvesting grapes to bottling and marketing the wine – these many important small and large steps continually inspire us anew. And they give everyone in the family the space to contribute their strengths. After all, it is the people behind the business who collectively do their best to make every bottle something special.

Florian is the 5th generation in the family business. He enjoys the varied work in the vineyard and cellar, and in the end, he is responsible for the wines. He enjoys furthering his education and happily tastes every wine that comes his way. Extensive discussions are welcomed during wine tastings with fellow winemakers. In the cellar, Florian enjoys experimenting to learn more and to further develop each wine, making it even better.

Evi is the good soul of the winery. She is responsible for the holiday apartments at the estate. With her warm manner, she welcomes every guest like an old friend. She gladly leads tastings and tours of the estate. Evi works a lot behind the scenes, taking on more tasks in sales, office work, and organization, skillfully balancing between being a caring mother and a professional businesswoman.

Senior Chef Franz is full of energy and always works with joy. He built the business and laid the foundation on which it stands today. His farsighted decisions have shaped a healthy business. His tireless dedication to St. Magdalener is well-known. In the business, he now mainly does what he loves most: delivering wine to long-time customers and working with the tractor.

Maria Luise is the concentrated knowledge of the winery. She knows every private customer by name and also remembers their wine reservations by heart. She has everything under control and is always the final authority on far-reaching decisions. The family also greatly appreciates her cooking skills, which can only be offset by enough exercise in the vineyard.
