O u r w i n e s

Wines with precision, elegance, and uncompromising quality – this is what we, the Gojer family, stand for. Our wines, primarily from the native red grape varieties Schiava and Lagrein, play the leading role. They authentically represent our homeland and the wine region of South Tyrol. Over the years, our range has expanded to include other wines from selected sites, and now white wines such as Kerner, Sauvignon, and Pinot Blanc play an important role. However, we are always in motion, never standing still, and this applies to our range as well. Pinot Noir from a cool, lime-rich site and Syrah from a granite-rich steep slope bear witness to this. Let’s not forget our unique dessert wine “PIPA,” born from an experiment.

600 meters above sea level is actually a borderline location for Schiava. However, the old vines with naturally low yield, small berries, and the exposed southern location allow for full ripening of the grapes. This results in a crisp, fresh, and exciting wine.

The mediterranean warm locations of S. Maddalena give Schiava the highest expressiveness and irresistible charm, making this all-rounder so distinctive.

Modeled after a Burgundy: only the best parcels with the oldest vines are used for the “Vigna Rondell.” A S. Maddalena that combines power and elegance, sometimes coming very close to a Pinot Noir.

Deep-rooted, old vines from the best location. A spicy, structured S. Maddalena “Riserva” that shows what Schiava can do.

The calcareous soil and a slightly north-facing vineyard are the defining elements for this South Tyrolean Pinot Noir.

The granite-rich soil and the extremely steep southern slope of our vineyard are reminiscent of the Rhône Valley, the home of Syrah. A suitable place to grow this grape variety.

The Lagrein is powerful and compact. By ageing it in large wooden barrels, we also strive for elegance and finesse.

Our Lagrein Riserva comes from our best Lagrein site in Bolzano, which brings elegance and complexity.

Two harvests with different goals: an earlier date to promote acidity and freshness and a later date for fullness and diversity in nose and palate.

We ferment and age the Pinot Blanc in wood,
so that it becomes more complex without losing its delicate character.

Sauvignon thrives particularly well on volcanic soils, and this is shown through its complexity.

Liqueur wine

P I P A

PIPA is the exotic one in our range. PIPA is a liqueur wine – vino liquoroso, inspired by port wine. This first South Tyrolean “port wine” is vinified from Lagrein grapes and is a long-lasting and complex dessert wine produced in the style of a vintage ruby. The name “Pipa” comes from the typical oak barrels in which port wine is stored in Portugal.
